My aunt told me that a friend of the family (basically another aunt) is dying of cancer and they've stopped treatments.
What a fucking kick in the balls when she followed up by saying "they aren't **allowing** visitors" to say goodbye.
That last month my mom spent in hospice was LOADED with visitors and it was the best part of her final chapter. She LOVED that so many people popped by just to see her.

Shout-out to Mandarin Garden in Abbotsford, BC. They made sacrifices in order to continue serving all patrons. My family and I enjoyed a delicious meal the other day. It was so nice to dine in after all this time.
