Quebec Premier Francois Legault says the province will impose an additional fee to all unvaccinated adults to help cover health-care costs.
This fee will not apply to residents with a valid medical reason.
Legault says the amount of the fee has not been determined yet, but it should be “significant” enough to convince the unvaccinated to get the shot.

Toronto school trustees vote 13-4 to make vaccination mandatory for students.
Canada’s largest school board is pushing to make mandatory vaccination a condition of returning to the classroom on Jan. 17.
In less than an hour on Thursday, Toronto District School Board trustees voted 13-4 to have the COVID-19 vaccine made compulsory under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.

Thank you for perpetuating the message that we cannot ridicule those questioning their alignment with the tyranny of our time.
We must be forgiving and accepting of anyone who even considers a change of heart.
This, after all, has become a battle for hearts and minds, and the side whose supporters are most vile will lose.
Fundamentally, we cannot forget that we need allies in this fight, and an ally that is a former enemy is still an ally.
