I joined mastodon.social without giving it a lot of thought, and I see people saying it's better not to join the largest instances. I don't know where else to go, though—or whether it even matters. #TwitterMigration

There are other instance list available online if you search for them. Remember that it is possible to move your profile between instances if you find another one you like better.
