My aunt told me that a friend of the family (basically another aunt) is dying of cancer and they've stopped treatments.

What a fucking kick in the balls when she followed up by saying "they aren't **allowing** visitors" to say goodbye.

That last month my mom spent in hospice was LOADED with visitors and it was the best part of her final chapter. She LOVED that so many people popped by just to see her.

@DameJamie I'm not sure you were looking for help or not but my wife heard of a family in a similar situation up here in Canada. They shared their story and had many people to write the hospital to complain. The hospital ended up changing the policy and they were able to get in to see their family member.

Thank you. Sounds like it's more about covid-fear. I was told they are going to do in-home hospice care.
