If the vaccine doesn’t prevent transmission, and according to Joe Biden “the pandemic is over” then why are teachers still being fired for not being vaccinated? And could the upcoming midterms have anything to do with it?

The University of Colorado is holding "No Agenda Forums" ... "These forums are Q&A round table events..." 🤔🤔
Could this be coincidence or a NA insider?

You don't need to join mastodon.social or any other big servers on here.
Big servers do not mean big audiences on the Fediverse. Because federated servers talk to each other seamlessly, the number of people you can interact with is similar whether you're on a large or small server. Some people even run their own single user servers where they are literally the only member, yet they are able to interact with just as many people as a user on a megaserver like mastodon.social.
Mastodon and the wider Fediverse were designed so that their users could be spread out across many different servers, specifically so that the network couldn't be taken over by malevolent billionaires. By choosing a smaller server, you help keep the network safe from any takeovers. Smaller servers also tend to be better moderated and have better tech support because they have a lot more staff per user.
@eriner Another great link, thanks for sharing. I wonder how long it will be before they start to ban instances that federate with NAS 🤔

As a major new Covid report suggests the virus could have leaked from a US lab, are we getting any closer to understanding the natural origin hypothesis was so heavily promoted? #covid #pandemic #lableak

Who says you can't learn anything on YouTube? I never knew about this pretty clever solution. Next time I will have a better look at it.

@BrettMorgan Also the "Recently active" option under the profile directory can help you find the accounts that are posting a lot.
@liaizon Perhaps they were using some sort of DNS filtering to block your requests from going through.
Beyond feature parity with Mastodon, I'd like to add the following features to #burr which are NOT present in the current release of Mastodon:
* Public Timeline
* Groups
* Events
* Status Editing
* Roles
* Badges (roles, donor status, etc.)
* Emoji reactions (more than just "like")
* Quote Statuses (reblog/boost/retweet with comment)
And some further-out features:
* E2E DM Encryption (Axolotl ratchet or similar)
* Calling (Jitsi or Mumble integration)
* Whole-instance Search (Account Opt-in)

“You want to know why it took so long for the truth to come out,” Paris, a professor of psychiatry at McGill University, wrote in an email. “I am afraid this has something to do with the toxic relationship between industry and academia.” Drug companies encourage doctors to prescribe often, and heavily, he said, and have “paid many academic psychiatrists to promote their products.”
